The Brenta Dolomites, though west of the River Adige, and therefore often considered not to really be part of the Dolomites, are in fact very much part of that range in geological terms, as is readily apparent from this photograph. But who are these jazzy gentlemen in the picture here? And what precisely are they doing?
Well, this is trekking musicale, which explains it all. You and a couple of like-minded musicians take your brass up into the mountains and present a recital with the limestone cliffs your only audience.
