Waterfall Tivoli

Just 30km from the capital, Tivoli has always been a place of retreat for the city dwellers. Since the 18th century it has attracted countless artists keen to take up the challenge of depicting its waterfalls and buildings. Certain sites, like the UNESCO-listed Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este, are well maintained; others not so much. The development of the modern town above continues as surely as the water continues to fall.
