Vaporetto: line 1 or 2 to San Tomà. It is closed from 5 Jan-12 Feb, but around those dates, the low season (24 Nov-23 Dec and 12 Feb to Carnival) rates are €180 for a double room, with breakfast included. 3 Palazzo Abadessa. Elegant hospitality near the Ca’Doro-Cannaregio area, a vibrant quarter where Venetians live, work, shop, eat and drink, or take a traghetto across the Grand Canal to the Rialto market.
